Calling All Cat Lovers & Steampunk Fans
The Lincoln Cat Club will be heading to the Asylum Steampunk Festival for a fun, relaxed meet-up during the August Bank Holiday weekend. This is a casual social for cat lovers, club members, steampunk fans and curious visitors who fancy joining us for a wander around the festival atmosphere.
We would love to see people in cat-themed steampunk attire if they fancy dressing up. Think goggles, gears, whiskers, tails, Victorian-inspired cat ears, feline explorers or steam-powered kitties. If dressing up is not your thing, please do not worry — you are very welcome to join us exactly as you are.
What To Expect
This will be a relaxed and informal day out, giving local cat lovers the chance to meet, chat and enjoy the festival together. There will be time to admire outfits, take photos, browse the stalls, enjoy the food stands and soak up the atmosphere around Lincoln’s historic Uphill area.
There is no cost to join the Lincoln Cat Club meet-up, and you are not expected to stay with the group all day. You can pop by for a quick hello, spend part of the day with us, or mooch around at your own pace.
Where To Find Us
We will be meeting on Monday 31st August at 12 noon outside the Magna Carta pub before having a wander around the free parts of the festival. Keep an eye out for the Lincoln Cat Club placard and come over to say hello.
Whether you are already part of the club, new to the group, or simply a fellow cat enthusiast who spots us during the festival, we would be very happy to meet you.
