About Gem's Cats
Gem’s Cats is a friendly mobile cat and pet care service based in Lincoln, created and run by Gem, for almost 12 years. My experience of caring for cats, pets and their owners extends to 23 years. With animal care knowledge, hands-on experience and relevant qualifications behind the service, we have grown into much more than cat sitting, offering trusted support for cats, small pets and exotic pets across Lincoln and the surrounding areas.
The service includes cat day and overnight sitting, pet feeding and care visits, pet taxi transport, cat enrichment visits, cat walking and outdoor enrichment, emergency cat care and cat grooming. Alongside the care services, I also run helpful local cat communities and support projects, including the Free Foodbank For Cat Stuff Lincoln UK group, Lincoln Cat Club and the Cats Of Lincoln UK Facebook group.

Cat Caddy of Goodies
The Premium Cat Visits Caddy is packed with thoughtful extras to help visits feel fun, comforting and enriching for your cat. Bringing along toys each visit keeps playtime exciting by introducing new sights, smells and textures, helping prevent boredom and encouraging natural hunting behaviours.
we also carry spare poo bags and a litter scoop, so there’s never any worry if supplies run low while you’re away. For particularly nervous or anxious cats, a gentle calming spray can help create a more relaxing environment and reduce stress. We love introducing cats to new experiences too, such as natural Silvervine leaf – a safe, enjoyable alternative to catnip that many cats adore.
Keeping brushes close by means we can groom cats who enjoy it, helping us build trust and creating a calm, positive bonding experience. And of course, we always have a stash of tasty treats on hand to help make friends with shy cats, reward good behaviour and simply give your feline companion a little extra spoiling while you’re away.
Cat Services Add Ons
To make each visit even more enjoyable, we also offer a lovely selection of optional add-ons that can be included alongside your cat’s usual care.
These thoughtful extras include tasty treats, warmed cat milk, Cat-uccinos, cooling frozen treats and comforting hot water bottles, giving you more ways to spoil your cat while you are away.
Practical care options are also available, including nail trims, foam dry shampoo and professional de-shedding treatments to help keep your cat comfortable, clean and well-groomed.
For something a little different, you can even add a personalised cat canvas painting created by your own furry artist. Simply choose the extras that best suit your cat’s personality, preferences and care needs when arranging their visit.

Reviews
Gemma is a real ‘cat lady’ and does a fantastic job of looking after our 5, very individual cats. We have 3 rescued feral kittens, 2 of which are super shy & timid – Ollie & Bob and the darling wee ‘Dot’ from the same farm, who for some reason, isn’t as shy or timid! Plus we’ve the 2 adults, Nellie (Senior House Cat) & Mowgli – ‘The Mighty Hunter’ They all have quite different needs with care and Gemma makes sure each is looked after. Gemma sends us pics as updates and keeps us informed. Reliable, trustworthy and cat knowledgeable too. I know our furry kids are in capable, and more importantly, genuine caring hands with Gemma. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her and have already booked Gemma to come stay again with our cats.
Gem is absolutely amazing. She took the stress out of leaving the cats as we knew they would be in good hands. We received so many pictures and updates it was amazing. Our cats have been truly spoilt and we have returned to two very happy kitties. She is just a wonderful lady and I can not recommend her service high enough!
Gem was absolutely amazing! We couldn’t recommend her enough. We wanted to find an alternative to a cattery and Gem’s pet sitting service was perfect. We had lots of communication and updates on Pickle including photos and videos which helped us feel at ease. Pickle instantly took to Gem, and enjoyed a lot of attention and playing time throughout the stay. We are so glad we found Gem and will definitely be using her pet sitting services again in the future!
I can’t even begin to explain how Gemma’s service has transformed our Christmas. Having pets is just like having small furry children isn’t it ? But we can’t take them away to spend time with family for obvious reasons and leaving them seemed selfish and mean at Christmas. But then I discovered Gemma’s cats and she put my mind at rest and she has kept us updated with funny pictures and has spent time with them and they’ve had new treats and toys and cuddles and time spent with them. She is amazing and her business is professional and friendly and her knowledge and skills have totally helped me relax. Thankyou so much xx
If you need a cat-sitter in Lincoln, Gemma is the person to go to! Utilising a perfect balance of professionalism and friendliness, she has made my trip away anxiety free. With photo and video updates of my cat, I haven’t had to worry once and I know she is getting all her needs met. Videos Gemma has sent me prove that she is a natural with animals, to the point that I think my usually reserved cat will be disappointed when I’m back and Gemma is not making her daily visits. A huge bonus that Gemma was available to care for my cat over the Christmas holidays too. I can’t recommend her enough and I will be using her again in the future.
