Gem’s Cats offers cat walking and outdoor enrichment in Lincoln for suitable cats who enjoy safe, supervised outdoor time.
This service gives your cat the chance to explore, sniff, stretch their legs and experience the outside world in a calm, controlled and positive way.
Using your cat’s own harness and lead, we will make sure everything is fitted securely before heading outside. The aim is never to rush your cat or force them to walk in a certain way, but to let them enjoy outdoor enrichment at their own pace.
During a cat walking session, your cat may enjoy exploring different smells, watching the world around them, chasing leaves or insects, stretching their legs, stalking, pouncing and expressing natural behaviours in a supervised environment. These sessions can also support enrichment, confidence-building and gentle desensitisation to outdoor noises and surroundings.
If the weather is too cold, wet or windy, or your cat decides they do not want to go outside that day, the session can be used for dedicated indoor play, hide-and-seek treats, enrichment activities and companionship instead.
Every session is tailored around your cat’s needs, confidence and comfort, with their safety and wellbeing always coming first.

What We Offer
If your cat does not want to go outside or the weather is unsuitable, the 30-minute session can still be used for indoor play, enrichment, treats and companionship.

Payments are made either two ways
1: In full just before the service
2: Via our monthly payment plan option
Paying in full prior to your cat ‘s service is paid via bank transfer or cash.

How it works:
• Choose a monthly amount that suits you
• Payments are taken securely each month via Stripe
• Your payments build up as credit on your account or is taken off your remaining balance
• You simply pay any remaining balance before your booking
We also offer more bespoke monthly payments plans where you can pay off a few of your holidays booked over just a set few months (instead of a rolling continuous monthly payment) without paying the remainder before the holiday as the entire amount is paid for the multiple holidays by the beginning of the last holiday.
So splitting 4 holidays over 4 months, the total amount is divided by 4.
You can also choose to set up your own payment plan using your bank to create a Standing Order instead of using Stripe.

If needed, we can bring our own cat rucksack for extra safety during the walk. This can be useful if something unexpected happens, such as loud noises, barking dogs or anything that may worry your cat.
Your cat can be safely placed inside the rucksack so they feel hidden, secure and protected while moving away from the situation. The same routine can also be used when bringing your cat back inside, helping them understand that outdoor walks begin and end safely.

Gemma is a real ‘cat lady’ and does a fantastic job of looking after our 5, very individual cats. We have 3 rescued feral kittens, 2 of which are super shy & timid – Ollie & Bob and the darling wee ‘Dot’ from the same farm, who for some reason, isn’t as shy or timid! Plus we’ve the 2 adults, Nellie (Senior House Cat) & Mowgli – ‘The Mighty Hunter’ They all have quite different needs with care and Gemma makes sure each is looked after. Gemma sends us pics as updates and keeps us informed. Reliable, trustworthy and cat knowledgeable too. I know our furry kids are in capable, and more importantly, genuine caring hands with Gemma. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her and have already booked Gemma to come stay again with our cats.
Gem is absolutely amazing. She took the stress out of leaving the cats as we knew they would be in good hands. We received so many pictures and updates it was amazing. Our cats have been truly spoilt and we have returned to two very happy kitties. She is just a wonderful lady and I can not recommend her service high enough!
Gem was absolutely amazing! We couldn’t recommend her enough. We wanted to find an alternative to a cattery and Gem’s pet sitting service was perfect. We had lots of communication and updates on Pickle including photos and videos which helped us feel at ease. Pickle instantly took to Gem, and enjoyed a lot of attention and playing time throughout the stay. We are so glad we found Gem and will definitely be using her pet sitting services again in the future!
I can’t even begin to explain how Gemma’s service has transformed our Christmas. Having pets is just like having small furry children isn’t it ? But we can’t take them away to spend time with family for obvious reasons and leaving them seemed selfish and mean at Christmas. But then I discovered Gemma’s cats and she put my mind at rest and she has kept us updated with funny pictures and has spent time with them and they’ve had new treats and toys and cuddles and time spent with them.
